Henry & Aileen in Hawaii
Henry H. Ushijima & Aileen B. Hallissy were married September 23, 1989 and moved into their humble abode in the city of Concord, California on February 3, 1991. We reside with Ratcat (Tanya - Aileen's niece Marie named the cat after the lead mouse, Tanya, in the movie An American Tail), Sammy [Samson], Fleabag (Midnight), Racoon (Munchkin) and Troubles [Silvester], who allow us to feed and pet them. Fleabag is almost domesticated, coming in at night, but Racoon is still wild and scared of us. We thought these two might be boys, Fleabag surprised us with kittens after our 1999 Hawaii Easter trip. Through an infection, only one kitten, Rocky survived and was adopted out on 6/2/99 care of our vet, Dr. Eric Braun and his clinic.

Our newest addition, TROUBLES [Silvester] joined our family as an anniversary gift for Aileen in 2002, and as a true boy, gets into trouble constantly. We also call him stinky, as he can really let out an localized stink bomb at will which can smell up one side of sofa, but not the other.

Kettle, another cat who adopted us was not mentioned here previously, as we did not have an estimated birth date, but he and his best buddy, the Furball, reside side by side on their favorite hillside overlooking and watching our house.
The Furball (Sierra Kitty) passed away in our presence 4/23/2001 due to poor health, after an emergency examination by and a lenghty consultation with our vet. She sleeps in one of her favorite spots underneath an abalone shell, watching over her hill and the house she ruled.
